In Chiang Mai

Today was my first full day in Chiang Mai. I met an American girl named Ann this morning and her and I toured around for the day. We saw some temples and shops around town but we also got our hair cut which was probably the most entertaining part of the day.

We had talked about how we both wanted our hair cut but weren't actually seeking it out. Then all of a sudden we were standing in front of a hair salon. They couldn't really speak English and we can't speak Thai so there was a lot of using our fingers as scissors to show what we wanted.

The lady washed Anns hair first and i couldn't figure out what was taking so long until she did mine. She shampood it three times and each time gave you a head massage. It felt awesome but at one point she was tickling my neck and I burst out laughing and she thought this was the funniest thing ever. Then after she finished she was trying to brush the hair off my shoulders and just stuck her hand down my top to get some out too. I guess they have different boundaries here lol.
Oh and the hair cut cost three dollars.
afterwards we went and got a Mani pedi. And when we were leaving the girl wouldn't let Ann put her running shoes back on she made her buy flip flops lol !!

Tomorrow we're going to see elephants !!!
